Ilkeston FC supporters are to stage a protest during the club’s home game against Stourbridge on Saturday.

Following on from the players’ boycott of last weekend’s fixture at Workington, fans are wanting to highlight their concerns over the mismanagement of the club.

The peaceful protest will involve fans turning their backs on the game during the second half. It is timed to take place in the 23rd minute of the second half.

Twenty-three is an important number because the players received their last payment of wages on December 23rd last year.

Fans have become increasingly disillusioned with the direction the club has been run as Ilkeston head towards relegation after a season to forget.

It is the latest low for the club who kicked off their season late following a suspension by the league.
