The second round of the Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire Junior League again saw two teams from Long Eaton Swimming Club in action.
The A Team was at Sutton-in-Ashfield and again started off the gala by winning the first two events.
The girls 12-and-under medley relay team of Katie Sloan, Krissy Tomlinson, Esther Halford and Sian James and the boys team of Sam Frearson, Joshua Beech, Joshua Bestwick and Joshua Langfield then both went on to win their freestyle relay events later in the programme.
Bethany Sharples and Rebecca Hunt then joined Esther and Katie to take the 11 -year-old freestyle relay.
Individual wins came in the 12-and-under age group for Krissy Tomlinson (backstroke and freestyle) and Joshua Beech (freestyle) and for Katie Sloan in the 11-and-under freestyle.
The B team made the short journey to Ilkeston where it was the ten-year old boys that led the way, with individual wins for Jack Straw (freestyle and backstroke) and Oliver Latter (butterfly).
Both teams are drawn together for the third and final round in September at Queens Leisure in Derby.
l The club on the lookout for new members of all ages but particularly eight, nine and ten year olds of all abilities to strengthen the junior squad so that the club can continue to field two teams in the league and give as many swimmers as possible the opportunity to reach their full potential.
