Ilkeston FC have strengthened their squad for the remainder of the season by signing two players on loan from Nottingham Forest.
Cameroonian Wilfried Gnahore, an attacking midfielder, and Ivorian defensive midfielder Edouard Schoenecker, both 18, have signed for the rest of the campaign having been told by Forest that their contracts won’t be renewed at the City Ground in the summer.
They join former Forest team-mate David Morgan at the New Manor Ground after he joined the Robins from the Reds in the summer along with Kieran Wallace, who is now at Sheffield United.
Ilkeston boss Kevin Wilson told the club’s official website: “We are in a good position to have a look at them and will see where it goes from there. It is an ideal time to have a look at them.
“They could be good enough for the first team squad and it is really up to them.”
Last Saturday’s match at FC United of Manchester was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
The Robins are next in action this Saturday (7th) when they host fellow promotion-hopefuls Ashton United at the New Manor Ground.
