Ilkeston’S Joe Booth has been in fine form as he adds more honours to his promising shooting career.
The 15-year-old won the Nottinghamshire County Double Rise County Championship in a shoot-off, beating many adults to do so and also winning the junior title at the same event.
He was also successful in the Dougall Memorial Trophy Colts class in his first major competition in Dorset at the Southern County Shooting Ground.
Joe followed that up by being runner-up in the English DTL Open Championships and most recently he won the Junior Notts Double Rise title in Nottingham.
His dad Andy said: “Things are still looking good for Joe and his aim now is to be in the England team by this time next year.
“The England manager came to watch him shoot at the Southern County event and was very impressed with how he is progressing for a lad of only 15-years-old he is very mature and loves the sport.”
