Two sides almost certain to finish in a mid-table position will go head-to-head in the West Midlands on Saturday.

Halesowen Town sit in 15th place, only seven places outside the relegation zone but 12 points clear of Whitby in 21st, although the Seasiders have two games in hand.

Ilkeston are 12th and four points better off than Halesowen having played a game fewer.

The two sides are yet to meet this season after the scheduled match at the New Manor Ground in January was called off, meaning the pair will meet again in a fortnight for that rearranged game on March 19.

The Yeltz come into this game on the back of two draws - both against Buxton. A 1-1 stalemate was played out in Derbyshire last Saturday after an identical scoreline a week earlier.

They are, however, without a win since January 2 and haven’t won on their own patch since a 2-1 win over bottom-of-the-table Ramsbottom on November 21.

Ilkeston, meanwhile, are aiming to build on a 3-0 League Cup win on Monday night against Daventry Town as well as ending a mini-run that’s seen them lose their last two league games without scoring.

When: Saturday, March 5, 2016

Where: The Grove, Old Hawne Lane, Halesowen, B63 3TB

How much: Adults £10, Concessions £7, U16s £3, U12s free with a paying adult/senior.

Ilkeston will be back in action again on Tuesday night with the long trip to promotion hopefuls Darlington.
