Trinity ABC featherweight Thomas Robinson has continued his recent good form to overcome home town boxer Tom Larkins in Birmingham.
He took a clear decision to record his second win over Larkin this year, having also claimed the honours on Trinity’s last home bill.
Both boxers have good technique but Robinson showed the greater desire to out work Larkin and applied more pressure to impress the judges.
Also on the bill, Archie Chadwick faced another Birmingham boxer in Matt Galliers and gave a determined performance despite dropping a close decision.
Trinity coach Scott Rafferty said: “Both lads performed well. Thomas is having a good season, putting a good run of wins together and showing consistency. He is starting to believe in his talent and producing the performaces he deserves.
“Archie boxed with plenty of passion and is still developing. He has a promising future.”
Trinity boxers are again in action at the Festival Inn, Trowell, on Sunday.
Several are part of a Derbyshire ABA squad that take on Essex ABA in an inter-county tournament.
Entry at the door is £10 for adults, £5 under-16s. For more information contact Scott Rafferty on 079 56 56 55 82.
