Trinity Boxing Club’s most recent national champion Sam Patchitt is the first winner of the club’s Boxer of the Month award for the new season.
Patchitt boxed five times in the space of three weeks in October to make it through to the national final in Sunderland on November 2 where he produced a commanding performance to take the national crown at 69 kg.
Patchitt was presented with his award at the recent Trinity show at the Festival Inn.
Meanwhile, Patchitt will be among eight Trinity boxers to attend the senior Derbyshire Elite squad session on Sunday in Derby.
Four of the club’s junior stars attended the junior squad last Sunday and all impressed as they looked to be included in team matches home and away with the Kent and Humberside county teams. Also on the horizon for the Derbyshire elite squad are visits to Ireland and to Mainland Europe.
