Nutbrook unlucky as Duffield edge their way to victory
Nutbrook 1st XI put in a fine batting display but fell to a narrow defeat at Duffield on Saturday.
The visitors batted first and were rocked by the early dismissals of opener Ben Eaton for 9 and skipper Michael Chambers for a duck, leaving Nutbrook on 48-2.
Richard Henshaw then joined Steven Sanderson and quickly the pair set about the Duffield bowlers who wilted in face of the onslaught, the pair adding 124 for the third wicket as the bowlers were smashed all over the park.
Sanderson quickly reached his century, finally being dismissed for 117 off only 52 balls including ten fours and six sixes.
Henshaw then continued his run of good form this season before being dismissed for 83, with Aussie Erik Crose contributing 46. Skipper Chambers declared on 277 for 7 leaving Duffield a stiff total to chase.

Nutbrook's 2nd XI entertained their local rivals West Hallam.
