Rams win by the odd goal

Pegasus YFC Girls U12 0 Derby County Girls 1

PEGASUS started the game the brighter and for the first 15 minutes outplayed their opponents creating chances but not finding the clinical touch past a Derby goalkeeper in form.

Derby found their stride late on in the first-half and started to pin Pego back after making what would prove a telling substitution.

Pegasus twice failed to clear when the ball fell for the dangerous Derby No.14 in the box who made Pego pay the price and make it 1-0 to the visitors.

The second-half began as the first finished with Derby starting fast and forcing Jade Cox in goal to keep the score to one.

As Pego found their way back into the game Annie Kane twice found the Derby keeper's legs between her and an equaliser.

Hannah Bloomfield went close only to see the Derby keeper tip the shot over the bar.

As Pegasus pressed forward looking for the equaliser it was left to an in form Cox to keep Derby from extending their lead.

Player of the Game – Jade Cox
