Stanton Ilkeston FC’s Seniors presentation evening was held last Saturday at The Davy Lamp pub in Ilkeston.
Former Nottingham Forest star and Ilkeston Town manager Kenny Burns attend as guest speaker for the evening, which marked a very successful season for the two senior teams.
The first team finished a very creditable third in Division One of the Long Eaton Sunday League and the reserves team also finishedthird in Division Two.
The club also ended up with one of the best disciplinary records in the league, confirmed at its AGM on Sunday where the first team were presented with the Sportsmanship Award for Division One.
Isobel Green, Stanton Ilkeston’s seniors secretary, was also presented with the League’s Division Two Secretary of the Year award.
Club chairman Rob Kirk said: “Isobel’s award was a fine and much deserved honour.
“This also goes to show that Stanton Ilkeston also do things in the correct manner off the pitch as well as on it.
“A big thank you to everyone that is involved with the running of the club. We look forward to next season and hopefully both teams securing promotion.
