Promising Trinity ABC light heavyweight Marcus Creed (pictured) is preparing to make a return to the boxing ring in the new season.

Creed, 20, had taken a break from competitive boxing whilst attending university in Sheffield.

He is now focused on his ring return and working hard in the gym to be ready for the new season.

Coach Scott Rafferty said: “Marcus is no stranger to the Trinity gym as in between breaks and uni holidays he has always made his way to the gym for work outs and to keep in touch with his gym mates.

“The coaching staff are very excited aboutMarcus’s prospects and expect him to make a big impact on the local boxing scene in the new season.”

Meanwhile, the latest crop of prospective Trinity boxers are working hard in the club gym and are hoping to be ready for pre-season training which will start in August.

Although the boxing season has only just finished the club is now looking for new talent to join the squad for the new season that will begin in October.

Scott Rafferty added: “The new members have been joined by many of the club’s boxers who have worked hard to help their new clubmates settle in.

“It is early days but there seems to be talent to work with and the club are looking forward to help develop this.”
