Long Eaton United are six points clear at the top of the Midlands Football League after two more victories.

On Saturday, Brad Wells struck a 90th minute winner to defeat Stourport Swifts.

John Swift had put the visitors in front on eight m inutes, but Wells struck early in the second-half to level the scores before netting the winner from close range in the dying seconds.

Then, on Tuesday night, Brocton were dispatched 4-1 at Grange Park, Wells, Shaun Rickford and Ross Parker amongst the goals to extend their lead at the top, although second-placed Basford have a game in hand.

United will be away to Quorn on Saturday, kick-off 3pm.
