YOUNG Ilkeston swimming sensation Krissy Tomlinson has been crowned Derbyshire champion in her age group for the third year on the trot - by winning all 15 of her events.
The 12-year-old, who competes for Long Eaton Swimming Club, took part in the events at Matlock’s Arc Swimming Complex and in Chesterfield over two successive weekends, and enhanced her growing reputation not only by taking gold medals in every discipline but also achieving personal best times in each.
She has also now recorded ten qualifying times for the Midlands Championships which take place in Coventry in June.
In Matlock, Krissy swept the board with golds in the butterfly, freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke at both 50m and 100m as well as at 200m in the breast, back and free.
She added four more golds to the list in Chesterfield by winning the 100m, 200m and 400m individual medley and the 400m freestyle.
The youngster trains five days a week and also swims for Derventio ExCel, Derbyshire’s elite swimming squad.
Dad Richard said: “Krissy is continuing to dominate in her age group and is already being recognised by national coaches as one of the best young swimmers around.
“We’d like to thank the coaching staff at Derventio and Long Eaton Swimming Club for her continued success in the pool”
Krissy is next in the pool this weekend when she takes part in the county relays in Derby for Long Eaton Swimming Club.
And she also now has her own website set up which can be viewed at www.krissytomlinson.com.
