West Hallam Juniors in fine form

West Hallam Juniors U13s have enjoyed an excellent month in the Derby League on Saturdays, winning all three games.

They overcame Chellaston 4-1 thanks to a brace from Luke Cox and other goals from Dan Heidari and Brandon Lymbury.

They were then 4-2 victors in a scrappy game against Melbourne, Cox this time hitting a hat-trick and Josh Melville also on target.

Last weekend they beat second-placed 3-2 Willington on their own patch, Melville among the goals again with a fine finish after an excellent move.

In the Notts League on Sundays, West Hallam Villa U13s put 16 goals past Radcliffe with Reece Widdowson hitting five, Josh Melville three and Dan Heidari and Charlie Wilde two each, buit then fell 9-2 to a much stronger Carlton side.

Stanton Ilkeston U13s were unable to build on a good first-half as they fell to a 7-2 defeat at Mickleover 95 Devils.

Nothing separated the sides at half-time, Jordan Feakes giving Stanton the lead having been played in by Daniel Stokes.

Mickleover levelled but Kairan Bryce-Moore’s through ball then sent Louis Teasdale clear and he finished well.

But having levelled before the break, Mickleover went on to dominate the second-half and hit five more goals to claim the victory - Harry Foster Stanton’s man-of-the-match.
