Abbey is hosting a new exhibit

A NEW exhibit at Calke Abbey, running throughout August until August 21, will present the work of acclaimed artist Jo Fairfax, created in response to the buildings and grounds of the country house.

Visitors to the old Horse Riding School will be able to enjoy the zoetropes and a short film created by Jo in his time at Calke Abbey, and entry to the exhibition is free.

Zoetropes are a traditional form of entertainment, with static images coming to life as they spin at great speed. The exhibit is sure to delight children and adults alike, and is located in one of the most memorable National Trust properties in the UK.
