A look at spies on silver screen

DERBY-based arts centre Quad is holding a course called I Spy: Spies On Screen, to tie in with the release of the acclaimed film version of John Le Carre’s Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy.

The five-week course began on September 13 and runs for five weeks, every Tuesday from 7pm-9pm, until October 11.

Looking at the history of the spy on the silver screen, film lecturer Alan Seaman delves behind enemy lines and finds out why espionage has fascinated filmmakers throughout cinema history, from James Bond to Jason Bourne.
