Gig to raise cash for supporters’ group

LOCAL bands and artists are holding a gig to raise cash for the Ilkeston Football Club Supporters’ Group.

A number of talented young local artists will be lining up at the New Manor Ground on Friday July 22.

Headliners, The Riverview will be joined by Nobody’s Fool, Apparently We Fly, The Outakes and solo artist, Daniel Dobbs for a mix of pop, punk and Indie sounds.

The gig has been set up by Nobody’s Fool drummer, James Lapping, a life-long supporter of the old Ilkeston Town FC.

He said: “I was really upset when the old club folded so when the Supporters Group was formed to support the new club I thought I could do my bit by getting some of my musician friends together for a fundraiser.”

Tickets are £3 on the door or £2 for IFCSG members. Doors open at 6.30pm and the first band is on at 7pm.
