NOTTINGHAM Symphony Orchestra will offer a treat for Dvorak fans when they next perform at the city’s Albert Hall on Saturday, March 10.
The concert programme is to be made up of three works by the Czech composer, two of which are among the most popular pieces he ever wrote.
The delightful Scherzo Capriccioso opens the concert, to be followed by the Cello Concerto, featuring guest soloist Guy Johnston, one of the leading British cellists of his generation.
The second half is given over to the Ninth Symphony, ‘From The New World’.
The concert, to be conducted by Derek Williams, starts at 7.30pm.
