Three-time winner of UK Blues Harmonica Player award Errol Linton, along with his band The Blues Vibe, will perform in the Clubhouse at Belper Rugby Club on Saturday, February 11.
Errol Linton plays eclectic British blues, but with a nod to his Caribbean heritage. He carries the legacy of Little Walter, Junior Wells and Sonny Boy Williamson into the 21st century, moving the genre forward by combining 50s Chicago blues with gentle Jamaica rhythms.
Errol and The Blues Vibe kick off a short season of superior musical performances in the Clubhouse at Belper Rugby Club, Strutts Playing Field, Derby Road, Belper. Doors open at 7.30pm, and there will be a support act before the main performers take to the stage about 9pm.
Tickets on this occasion are £8. You can probably pay on the door but organisers say it is best to book your tickets in advance from John Rooney 01332 550820 or 07986 865307 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Under the umbrella title of “Folk and Blues at Strutt’s Field, the following acts will also be performing at the clubhouse as part of their UK tours: Chris Wood on March 11 (£10); Wrigley Sisters on April 20 (£10).
