The Halle will be returning to the Royal Concert Hall in Nottingham on Tuesday, May 27, under the baton of Sir Mark Elder.
The concert starts at 7.30pm and features one just work, Gustav Mahler’s Ninth Symphony.
The work was written at a time of extreme personal crisis for the composer, when he had been diagnosed with the heart condition that would soon kill him.
The symphony is a powerful and multi-faceted work.
