Legendary British songwriter Graham Gouldman brings his latest show to Glee Club Nottingham on Tuesday, May 27.
Entitled Heart Full Of Songs, the show finds the former 10cc man dipping into his extraordinary hit-filled back catalogue.
In the 1960s, Gouldman penned hits for such acts as The Yardbirds (For Your Love, Heart Full Of Soul), The Hollies (Bus Stop, Look Through Any Window) and Herman’s Hermits (No Milk Today), before co-forming 10cc in 1972.
10cc enjoyed a considerable run of Top 10 singles, including Donna (No 2), Art For Art’s Sake and Good Morning Judge (both reaching No 5), The Things We Do For Love and I’m Mandy Fly Me (6), and The Wall Street Shuffle (10), plus three number ones: Rubber Bullets, I’m Not In Love and Dreadlock Holiday.
The ‘unplugged’ Heart Full Of Songs concept sees the famed songwriter joined by Take That’s musical director Mike Stevens, and session musician and songwriter Iain Hornal.
Tickets, priced £22.50, are available from www.glee.co.uk/nottingham
The Glee Club Nottingham is based at the British Waterways Building, The Waterfront. Doors open at 7pm.
