NSO to serve up a full English

NOTTINGHAM Symphony Orchestra’s next concert will have a homegrown feel to it when members play works by British composers at the city’s Albert Hall venue on Saturday, March 12.

The programme will feature performances of the highly evocative Four Sea Interludes from Benjamin Britten’s opera Peter Grimes, William Walton’s effervescent Violin Concerto, and Elgar’s much-loved ‘Enigma’ Variations.

The concert, which starts at 7.30pm, will be conducted by Derek Williams and the violin soloist is the rising star Clare Howick.

Tickets are available from the Nottingham Playhouse box office on 0115 941 9419.
