Alternative country trio Red Sky July head to Glee Club Nottingham with their debut album tour, for a performance there on Tuesday, July 23.
Red Sky July are an alternative country band. They were founded in 2009 by Texas guitarist Ally McErlaine, his wife Shelly Poole, who is a former member of popular band, Alisha’s Attic, and Charity Hair, formerly of The Alice Band.
Three successful musician/writers, the members are united in a love of folk and country.
The songs on their self-titled debut album range from otherworldly modern folk to bluegrass stomp-alongs, always informed by a wonderful pop sensibility.
Currently on tour supporting Jools Holland and his Rhythm & Blues Orchestra, catch Red Sky July’s headline show at the Glee.
The gig is aimed at those aged 16 and over and doors open at 7pm. Tickets are £10.
