British sibling trio The Staves return to Glee Club Nottingham, for a gig there on Thursday, October 31.
The Staves are Emily, Jessica and Camilla Staveley-Taylor, an acoustic folk rock trio of sisters. The rise and rise of The Staves over the last 18 months has been nothing short of meteoric.
They gained a following in the UK with their Mexico EP in 2011, with US attention following. Aside from selling out their own headline tours, they supported Ben Howard, The Civil Wars and Bon Iver on their US and Canadian tours, and performed at South by Southwest Festival in 2012.
Their debut album Dead & Born & Grown received near faultless reviews from the likes of Clash, Mojo, Uncut, and Q. The Staves’ live reputation is second-to-none, with their exquisite songwriting and close harmonies capable of plunging an audience into awed silence.
