IF you believe laughter is the best medicine, then a forthcoming production of Doctor In The House at Nottingham’s Theatre Royal could be right up your street.
The comedy can be seen there from April 10-14, starring Robert Powell and, in a swift return to the venue following his recent panto triumph there, Joe Pasquale.
Follow the inexperienced young medical student Simon Sparrow as he begins his five-year internship at St Swithin’s Teaching Hospital. Continually falling foul of the irascible head surgeon Sir Lancelot Spratt, his social life is spiced up when he is taken under the wing of two student repeaters, Tony Grimsdyke and John Evans, with farcial consequences.
You may have seen the film series from the 50s or the TV series from the 70s, now this theatre production brings the story into the 21st century, starring a real Theatre Royal favourite.
Tickets are available from the box office on 0115 9895555.
