Quad chief to move on after eight years

After nearly eight years as chief executive officer at Derby-based arts centre, Keith Jeffrey is moving to pastures new.

Keith led Quad through its opening period and oversaw year on year increases in audience numbers, as well as a series of cultural highlights which established Quad as one of the most innovative and inclusive arts centres in the UK.

Keith Jeffrey will be taking the position of MD of Coventry University Social Enterprises Ltd in the spring. This is a new start venture that will develop new social enterprises and manage CU’s Institute of Entrepreneurialism.

Deputy director of Quad, Adam Buss, will take over as acting chief executive, working alongside artistic director Louise Clements to lead the organisation into its next phase of development.

Keith Jeffrey said: “I was brought in to establish and develop Quad and having built a highly successful operation I feel that the time is right to move on. This new role at Coventry University is an exciting opportunity for me that makes the most of my skills and experience.”

Adam Buss added: “Keith is leaving us with an exciting opportunity to continue to grow and develop as an organisation. I have developed my own skills and understanding of the business from working closely with Keith for a number of years and feel privileged to have worked with such an inspirational leader for so long.”
