The autumn season at Derby Theatre features a wide range of attractive offerings in the Studio.
These will include Toot with Be Here Now, an irreverently comic, yet tender, look at how music seeps into, and influences, our lives; Tonya Joy Bolton with Holy & Horny, a thought-provoking and compelling story of love, longing and the ultimate betrayal; and Show and Tell, a multi award-winning company with their show, Feral, which combines puppetry, immersive soundscapes and multimedia technology.
There’s also Derby Jazz presenting an evening of music with Evan Parker and Seymour Wright plus musical fireworks with Alexander Hawkins and Louis Moholo-Moholo; Theatre Re with the Off West End Theatre Award twice-nominated The Little Soldiers, an astonishing concert performance of dance-and-mime theatre; and Fourth Monkey Ensemble with Elephant Man, inspired by the iconic David Lynch film.
Sarah Brigham, artistic director at Derby Theatre, said: “We don’t know yet if it will be a mild autumn or a frost-bitten winter but either way I’m pretty certain Derby Theatre will be ringing with laughter, cheer and a good night out for all next season.”
