Over the years the Derby & District Branch of the Cats Protection has rehomed hundreds of cats. Unfortunately, the waiting list for a place at their homing unit far outweighs the places available.
On the waiting list are a few older cats and their rehoming prospects are not great. Although perhaps not as "cute" as their young, older felines can provide as much pleasure to their owners as kittens and they are easier to look after.
The follow
ing are in need of a home:
- Chintzi, a 12 year old spayed female tortoiseshell without a home because her owner moved in with a relative.
- Albert & Cracker, 11 year old black & white brother and sister cats which have to be rehomed because of an allergy in the family.
- George, a 10 year old tabby & white neutered male which needs to be rehomed because of the owner's failing health.
- Cloe, a 14 year old spayed Burmese needing a new home because her owners are emigrating to Australia.
- Lauren & Ralph, two 12 year old cats (tabby female & ginger/white male ) which belong to another owner emigrating.
- A 10+ year old female tortoiseshell abandoned by her owners.
Anyone who would like more information on any of these cats or (in some cases) a photograph please contact the branch's Catline on Derby 206956 (Voicemail), leaving your name, telephone number and a short message.
All the branch's cats are neutered/spayed, inoculated and microchipped.
