Learn to Fish day offers taster sessions for children

Here's your chance to try out a new outdoor sport.

The annual Learn to Fish event will be held at Press Manor Fishing Lakes, Birkin Lane, Ashover, on Sunday, August 5.

The event caters for experienced and non-experienced anglers and children.

There will be professional casting demonstrations throughout the day covering salmon fishing, fly fishing, specimen carp fishing and coarse fishing.

Visitors have the opportunity of taking a free casting lesson by one of a team of experts.

The event also introduces children to try coarse fishing free of charge with an expert. They can Learn about entomology and wildlife and see bug life though a laboratory microscope.

Trout cooking demonstrations will take place throughou the day and the best part is you get to taste it.

The Learn to Fish day runs from 10am to 4pm. There is free admission and free parking. The event is organised by Protecting Club Fishing Water & Wildlife.
