An Ilkeston dad who came back fighting after being diagnosed with bowel cancer has thanked those who have supported him.

Jamie Cragg, 30, from Cotmanhay, recently returned from his honeymoon after marrying girlfriend Lisa last month.

He said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to everyone for supporting us throughout my illness and the last few months following my Hipec operation.

“ We would like to thank David from Topaz Hairdressers for his kind donation. “Regarding the wedding we would particularly like to thank Roy’s Wedding Car for providing the transport for the day, Creative Occasions Cakes for the fabulous wedding cake, Petals Flowers, Ruth in particular for the gorgeous wedding flowers and bouquets that were given out as thank you gifts. And last but by no means least Ryan and Kelly from the Seven Oaks for making our day so amazing .They gave us the marquee and the wedding meal plus our evening hog roast for free. “It was a very special day and it will remain in our hearts forever.”

Jamie also thanked the ‘Tiser for our support.

Jamie underwent a rare form of treatment earlier this year called Hipec. He will undergo a scan this month to find out if the operation was a success.
