Action since the election

I have had several positive site meetings following my successful election to represent Ilkeston West on Derbyshire County Council.

I am delighted to report of a new dog waste bin placement on the Nutbrook Trail; measures in place and promises to keep residents notified of planning developments at Manor Road; and plans afoot for new fencing and pathway works at Shipley Common Lane and Briar Way.

Partnership working between the highways office, local schools and the police to support a SLOW YOUR SPEED campaign is evidence of a community working together.

A councillors’ surgery and a litter pick at Kirk Hallam was the icing on the cake for me, as the fire and rescue service helped volunteers to unblock a drain in double quick time.

Residents sometimes ask what councillors do.

Cllr Michelle Booth,
