Aldi supermarket in Ilkeston will be extended with more car parking spaces created.
The plans, which have been given the go ahead by Erewash Borough Council, will see the store extended by 393 square metres. An extra 26 parking spaces will be created at the store on Manor Road.
The extension would provide for additional retail floor space through the relocation of offices, staff toilets and stores into the proposed extension.
Though the planning application received no major objections, residents from four houses on Manners Road signed a letter objecting to a two metre high fence proposed for site boundary. They felt it should be 2.4 metres to protect privacy.
The application was approved by the planning committee of Erewash Borough Council on September 23. A site investigation will take place before work can begin.
