The West Hallam Ploughing Match took place on Sunday September 20. Launched in 1923, the match is a traditional event usually held every year on the third Wednesday of September. The event includes ploughing by tractors in different classes, as well as horse ploughing, hedge-laying and community competitions like a cake competition and children’s competitions.
