Members of the community played their part in creating a giant QR code that will be readable via a smartphone app this week.
The project, was organised by Wash Arts as part of Ilkeston Festival.
Artist Adrian Lloyd, who created a portrait of the Queen using soil for the Jubilee, ran the workshop on Saturday.
The two metre squared image is made up of 44 different tiles which have been individually decorated by people who visited Wash Arts’ Bath Street base on Saturday.
