Art room celebrates 10th birthday with free family event

The Long Eaton Art Room is celebrating its 10th birthday.

It will be opening its doors for a family fun day with the opportunity to have a go at lots of different craft activities including pyrography, peg people, glass painting, tissue flowers, needle felting, badge making, polymer clay, paint a pot, ceramics and a fun photobooth with props.

There will be something for all ages and abilities.

Refreshments will be available all day including tea and homemade cake.

Wheelchair friendly entrance to the event is free for all visitors but there will be a small fee for some of the activities to cover materials free parking on site.

Long Eaton Art Room is a community arts centre based in an old lace factory in the Long Eaton Lace Factories Conservation area.

Admission is free and open to all.

Long Eaton Art Room is located at 29-31 Lime Grove, Long Eaton NG10 4LD.

It is south of Derby Road, west of the Erewash Canal, just by the gates of Long Eaton Cemetery – only a few minutes walk from Long Eaton town centre and the bus stops on Derby Road.

Free parking is available in the yard and on surrounding streets.
