An exhibition showcasing the history of Straw’s Bridge nature reserve opened in the Hayloft Gallery on Tuesday by the recently formed Friends of Straw’s Bridge group.
It also shows plans for the future of the site, which was formed after the extraction of coal deposits, and runs until Friday October 14.
Photographs by Paul Shaw show the flora and fauna which can be found at the reserve, off Derby Road, between Ilkeston and Kirk Hallam.
