An Ilkeston company that strives to help the community by donating money is being inundated with requests three years after its launch .

Bellini’s Making A Difference Locally campaign see them take requests from local cause.

Pat Bellini, from the garage on Heanor Road, said they get new requests every day. One of the latest is from St Mary’s Church to help them with a fund to repair the church bells. Last month they donated £200 to Michael House School for their summer fair.

Pat said: “We supplied them with butchery items for their barbecue and donated £200 towards their day. They have an ongoing requirement for donations to their new playground and rely on school fees, generous donations and charity events.”

The funds accumulate by customers purchasing certain items in store whereby 1p or 2p goes towards the fund. They have given to MacMillan Cancer Support, Bens Den, Arena Church and make regular donations to Ilkeston Hospital. They have provided £400 for the Shipley Rovers FC new football kit.

Pat said: “ We recently donated to the Nottingham City Hospital childrens’ ward because a lot of local children use this hospital.”
