Best of British will be the theme for Erewash Borough Council’s annual bonfire and firework display after a patriotic year.
The event will be held on Saturday November 3 at West park in Long Eaton.
Gates open at 6pm and the the fun begins with children from Sawley Junior School taking part in a procession to the bonfire alongside ‘Sparky’, the Erewash Festival of Light mascot, at 6.30pm.
This will be followed by the official lighting of the bonfire by the Mayor of Erewash, Cllr Jennifer Hulls, at 7pm.
The firework display begins at 7.30pm.
Advance tickets are on sale at West Park Leisure Centre in Long Eaton and at Ilkeston and Long Eaton Town Halls.
If bought before the evebt family tickets (two adults and up to three children) are £9.50, adults are £3.90 and the over-60s and under-16s can buy tickets for £1.70.
The Cat and Fiddle in Kirk Hallam will be holding their annual bonfire and firework display on Saturday November 3 at 8pm.
On Friday November 2 the Seven Oaks at Stanton-by-Dale are holding an evening of entertainment and bonfire party.
Boogie Street will perform at the Lows Lane pub, a hog roast, barbecue and real ales are also on offer. For advnce tickets call the pub on 0115 932318.
Stanton-by-Dale Rectory is also hosting an event on Saturday night from 6.30pm.
