Body found in River Derwent during a search for missing Codnor man

The body of a man, thought to be Codnor man Trevor Needham, has been found in the River Derwent at Draycott.

A member of the public called Derbyshire Constabulary yesterday afternoon (Sunday, June 24), having found a body.

A police spokesman said: "Formal identification has yet to take place but we believe the body to be that of Mr Needham."

The 68-year-old, from Codnor, who was last seen at Darley Abbey Mills on April 4.

His family has been informed.
