The first ever Erewash Jobs and Community Fair organised by Member of Parliament Maggie Throup has been hailed a great success.
The fair attracted More than 40 exhibitors and hundreds of visitors.
The event was held on March 18 Ilkeston Market Place. There were a number of marquees, set up with stalls were people could ask questions.
MS Throup said: “I was delighted that the event was such a success with many job vacancies, apprenticeships and training opportunities available. It was also great to see the charity and community groups showcasing their great work.
“The event really brought the community together showing just how much support there is available, whether about health, debt, or business start-up to name just a few.
“A huge thank you must go to everyone who helped to make the day such a success, the sponsors, the exhibitors, the helpers and everyone who came along.
“It was so successful I am sure I will be holding another Erewash Jobs and Community Fair next year.”
