Specsavers in Ilkeston has celebrated 25 years in business.

The Bath Street store first opened in 1990 with a team of just five staff, carrying out approximately 75 eye examinations a week. Today, a team of 43 carry out nearly 450 sight tests per week at the store, under the management of store director Krishna Parmar who has been with Specsavers for 29 years.

She said: “Looking back over the last 25 years, which have gone so fast, it’s amazing to see how the business has changed. But our values and commitment remain the same – ensuring that we provide the very best in eye care to all our customers.”
