TRAVELLERS are affecting trade at a Long Eaton store according to the business’ owner.
Kieron Armstrong, owner of Armstrong’s Mill said custom is down by at least 50 per cent.
“A law change is needed because I’m powerless to do anything and it’s affecting trade.
“An eviction order costs £750 a time and only lasts for one month and then there’s caravans back here again.”
Mr Armstrong spoke to the Advertiser after travellers set up camp 14 weeks ago.
“Something needs to be done to stop this from happening.
“Customers won’t come here because the dogs are running wild around the car park and they don’t want to park here.
“There’s dog mess everywhere and it’s not a very nice environment.”
