THIS year’s Stapleford Carnival is set to be the biggest ever - with gun dogs, birds of prey and sword dancers being just some of the attractions on offer.
The fun starts at 12.30pm when the parade kicks off from Bessell Lane, going through the town and arriving at the carnival site in Ilkeston Road Recreation Ground at 1.30pm, when it will be officially opened by Mayor of Broxtowe Cllr Jacky Williams and MP Anna Soubry.
Visitors can watch displays from The Mountgrace Gun Dogs, falconer Chris Miller and Sullivan’s Sword Dancers, and take part in a tug o’ war.
There will be a circus workshop, fairground organs, and traditional steam engines, alongside charity and food stalls.
