Community groups in Erewash have been awarded cash from a Derbyshire County Council grant scheme.
Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide, based in Ilkeston has been handed £640 to buy laptops for members to use allowing them to see short films and information from events held by other groups.
Ilkeston-based creative charity Wash Arts was given £540 for signs, flyers, fire extinguishers, and arts materials for an arts week for the public.
Community Action Grants were introduced in June this year with a £250,000 funding pot to be awarded by the end of 2012 supporting the work of voluntary groups across the county.
Risley Village Memorial Hall received £750 and the Long Eaton All Media Art Club were awarded £360.
