Cash stolen after robbery at Long Eaton shop


Police are appealing for witnesses after cash was stolen from a Long Eaton shop.

At around 9.40pm last night (Friday, October 14), a man entered the Co-op shop on Grasmere Road.

He demanded money and smashed the till. He took cash from the till and rode away from the scene on a bicycle.

A Derbyshire Police spokesman said: “The robber is white, of medium build and around 5ft 7ins tall. He wore a black hooded top with the hood up and tightened around his face. He also wore camouflage trousers.”
