WIND and rain failed to put off 52 golfers who took part in the Treetops Hospice annual Golf Day.
Thirteen teams raised a total of £2,500 as they took part in the tournament at Horsley Lodge Golf Club, near Belper.
The teams of four were made up of businessmen and women from Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
The money raised will go towards providing hospice care for adults with life-limiting illnesses and their families.
Winning team leader Martin O’Brien said: “We’ve all had a great day despite the weather.
“Horsley Lodge is a great course and Treetops did a fantastic job of making us all welcome. I hope we’ve raised lots of money for a great local charity.”
