A SANDIACRE woman had a double celebration when she won a charity lottery and turned 50 on the same day.

June Firth, was handed the cheque for £4,600 after her numbers came up on the Treetops Hospice Lottery.

June said: “I’ve won the odd £5 before but usually give it back to the Hospice. When the lottery team rang to tell me about this win, I thought it was a wind-up. I even rang the Hospice back to check.

“It’s a lovely amount of money and I plan to share it with my family and give a little something back to Treetops.”
