Coffee morning to raise for Alzheimer’s centre

THE ORGANISERS of a coffee morning in Cotmanhay are hoping to raise £500 for an Ilkeston centre which helps people with dementia and Alzheimer’s

Chris Ramsey’s husband suffers from dementia and goes to regular meetings at the Flamsteed Centre in Albert Street.

Although Chris usually arranges Macmillan Coffee Mornings at her 19 Rossendale home, this year she said she wanted to give something back to the centre.

The event includes tombolas, cake stalls, lucky bag games and more.

The fun runs from 11am to 2pm today.
