A three-vehicle smash closed a Kirk Hallam road for 90mins this morning (Friday).
An articulated lorry heading along Ladywood Road towards Spondon slowed down to let a Saab car out of the junction of Cat and Fiddle Lane at about 7.35am.
As it did so a Ford Mondeo overtook the lorry. The Saab swerved and crashed head on with the lorry, a police spokesman said.
No one was seriously injured and the road – close to the Cat and Fiddle windmill – was cleared and re-opened by 9.10am.
