Charge after spate of burgalaries

A 23-year-old has been charged after a spate of break-ins in Ilkeston.

James Mitchell, of Ilkeston, has been charged with five burglaries in Scarborough Avenue, Barclay Court, Kedleston Drive, Drummond Road and Nether Slade Road earlier this month.

He appeared at Derby Magistrates’ Court last Thursday and has been remanded in custody.

He is due to appear at court again on Wednesday.
